It is truly a lovely hotel. Incidentally, it was the Roosevelt before it was the Fairmont, and was the hotel on which Haley’s “Hotel” was based. It is one of my favorite spots in the city. You need to come back.

I went to a meeting there shortly after it reopened, the hall is just as stunning and the bar is The Sazerac – blech (the drink, not the bar – the bar is very nice.) I love, love, love old grand hotels.

Go Gay on ignoring ignorant advice and doing what the hell she wanted to do!! I’m proud to know all the Garretts – and especially thankful that I sat behind Gay in chemistry and made it thru. ;-)
